Who Review #26 - the Gunfighters

OK. I want all the lost episodes found, but given the choice I would rather they had the Massacre and had lost the Gunfighters.

The TARDIS lands in the wild west, in Tombstone. The Doctor has broken a tooth on Cyril's sweet and needs a dentist. Then something or other happens for the next four episodes which features Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday. Quite what and why, I don't care!

The american accents are more hammy than the local butcher. (Peter Purves...please don't!) Dodo and Steven dress up in what look like Roy Rogers show cast-offs. Throughout the story, the action is summed up in an irritating running ballad, sung by the big b-b-b-b-b...hearted Lynda Baron (Nurse Gladys Emmanuel in "Open All Hours") and actually written by Tristram Cary.

The story is simply dreadful.
