The delightful Jacqueline Hill returned to the show in this story, only not as Barbara but the Tigellan priestess Lexa. She gives a good account of herself; the rest of the guest cast was, alas, disappointing. The best acting in the story comes from Tom himself, who takes on the double role of the Doctor and Meglos. The cactus face make-up is impressive.
The production is OK, although the incidental music is overdone. I am simply a Dudley Simpson fan. His music was less intrusive on the action. Furthermore, what is it with the Savants' hair do?
The one HUGE problem with this story, which is alright but nothing special, is the fact that the villain is a talking cactus. Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear....
